Santa

I love the beginnings of the wonders of childhood. Both Emma and Julia are fully enthralled with Santa and are eagerly awaiting his special deliveries come December 25th. I find it absolutely adorable that Julia has asked for two things: a donut and a mushroom. Hmmm, hopefully Santa stops at the donut shop on his sleigh ride down ... and this mushroom thing, we are still unclear since we don't eat mushrooms at home, though we know she's had them at MiMi's in her spaghetti sauce, but was that really enough for her to be yearning for more and that to be her special gift from Santa?
Or is this an Alice in Wonderland influence and should we be very alarmed?
Either way we think it sounds pretty suspect for our 2 1/2 year old to be asking for mushrooms for Christmas! :)

But, then there's Miss Emma ... she is all business this Christmas. She would like Hannah Montana everything, a baby doll, and pretty much anything else she sees along the way. She flat out explained to Julia, "Julia, you have to ask for a toy from Santa. Santa gives toys, not food". Well, Julia has a bit of her mother's personality and looked at Emma and said "Nope. I want food". Hysterical, I tell you, it is absolutely hysterical to listen to these two interact.

They have requested decorations be spread all over the house, and thanks to Uncle Timmy's garland decor we now have red sparkly garland strung around our doors as well.

Emma has already wrapped 3 presents and put them under the tree ... we are taking bets how long it takes Julia to unwrap them. Tonight she sat on the couch cuddling one in her lap!!!
